Writing is the shackle of knowledge
الْكِتَابَةُ قَيْدُ الْعِلْمِ

Dr. Sulaymān al-ʿUyūnī حفظه الله, a well-known scholar of the Arabic language, emphasises in his lessons that writing preserves and secures knowledge:
• Audio lessons are excellent for receiving information quickly, but writing is what anchors that knowledge so it is not easily lost.
• Writing also allows for deeper reflection. What we hear may be forgotten, while writing helps us retain, revisit and reinforce important points
