Every good deed is known
A Benefit from the Qurʾān
Allāh Subhanahu wa Taala says:
وَمَا تَفْعَلُوا مِنْ خَيْرٍ يَعْلَمْهُ اللَّهُ
“Whatever good you do, Allāh knows it.”
[Al-Baqarah 2:197]
Shaykh as-Saʿdī (رَحِمَهُ اللهُ) said:
«وَأَتَى بِـمِنْ لِلتَّنْصِيصِ عَلَى الْعُمُومِ»
“ He used مِنْ to make the general meaning explicit .”
When an indefinite noun comes in a conditional context, it indicates generality. If it is preceded by مِنْ, the generality is made explicit and emphatic - even more emphasis.
So, condition here - whatever
Indefinite noun - خير
So مِنْ خَيْرٍ includes every good deed—great or small, public or hidden.
Nothing done sincerely for Allāh is ever overlooked إن شاء الله
